Memories Past

Memories Past Oh, my dear we have so many memories Woven into the fabric of our lives I remember like it was yesterday The warm days and beautiful skies You took my hand in yours And we walked the sandy beach You promised me love forever There was no goal we couldn't reach Oh how the memories flow We gave all we had to each other And I promised you all my love And we knew it was forever We had a wonderful life my dear Then the children came along What precious cargo we carried With our love binding and strong As we sit here in the sunshine A slight breeze stirs the air And as I look over at you I can still feel the love we share But it is time for us to go inside I feel a slight chill in the air It is a little bit hard for me As I unlock the wheels on your chair Oh, how the memories flow And I thank God for a beautiful life And I shall thank him one more time For the time I shared as your wife. thank you Joseph. It is not about me. I lost my husband going on 8 years. It is about what would have been if he had lived. It brought tears to my eyes writing it. Thank you so much for the encouragement Connie
