Memories of You

Once again I walk these streets The cobblestones beneath my feet The intoxicating smells that fill the air O how I wish that you were here Walking down these streets with me Making memories come alive to set them free Rewind ourselves to who we use to be Back to those days When we were young, wild, in love and free Maybe we could do things differently Learn from mistakes made Before the happy memories fade Before we forget what we had To a time when we were never sad The future held our dreams to be But we lost our way unfortunately This life we thought was meant for us Ground our hearts into fine dust Our love lives on but in the past Regardless of this life our love will last Beyond what we know now to be It will never be forgotten and live on endlessly For real love is like a star up in the skies It's still bright and shines through the night Even after millions of light years out of sight

Hi Kimberly.. I really enjoyed reading your creative work this morning. Your poem, my dog at my feet, and a hot cup a of Colombian coffee make for a perfect trifecta! Come see me today if you get a chance...
