Memories of Theo


It’s been year since you’ve been gone,
 I really miss you oh so much.
Life, it seems so different now,
you’re not there to hug or touch.


Last year, it has been difficult,
trying to get my life on track.
whilst knowing deep down in my soul
 you are never coming back.


I’ve had a few bad moments,
felt like giving up on life.
It’s very hard to re-adjust,
To being a widow, not a wife.


but life, it keeps on going,
I just take it day by day.
With friends and family there for me
To help me on my way.


So, no matter where life takes me,
whatever journey I may start,
I know you’re not here with me,
But you’re still there in my heart

Natasha L Scragg September 19, 2021 at 2:05 PM Pauline, sending warm wishes to you with deepest sympathy. Adjusting to a loss is so difficult. A widow I know told me that what brings her great comfort is knowing that people remember her husband and when ones express what they loved about him. I remember worrying about talking about him incase it upset her. Poetry is such a moving way to express the memory of loved ones and how much we miss them. Last line is very touching. Warmest wishes and sincere regards. :-)
