Memories of the Memoirs Author

If I could fall into a memories arms
And rest in the remembrance of time
Reminisce in your eyes and simplistic sighs
From your longing heart they come
Perfection abroad from a shallow abyss
A memoirs author drawn to your kiss
I’d be swept away by the confusion of strife
As I fall into the arms of a once forbidden life

Your poem brought tears to my eyes, Claire. So many times I've wished I could go back in time and relive the "memories" I shared with my late husband. This is beautiful! Love, Carolyn
