Memories of Me

When I’m gone, what will you see?
Will your memories be kind to me?
Will all those moments that we shared
Reflect how much I truly cared.

Will my husband, remember our first embrace?
The first time ever he saw my face
Will he remember a blushing bride?
My devoted support at his side

Will my children remember my moments of bliss?
A first smile, a warm embrace, a tiny kiss
Tears of pride, of sadness and many joys
My boundless love for my precious boys

Will my friends, smile and say
She could be fun in her own way
Her friendship was a valued gift
And sometimes helped my spirit to lift

A lifetime of memories is quite a collection
But I wonder, as I sit in reflection
Will you remember me,
As I remember me

what a neat poem!! You write very well. From things you say, I am thinking you live in the Netherlands?? But gosh, your English is impeccable!! Are you in the states?
