Memories of Fun

A memory of a childhood time
The fondest one I know
The dazzling lights and music loud
As I rush to be front row

The smell of sweetened candy
The warmth upon my skin
The shrieking sounds from coaster rides
The thrill of every spin

The colours brightly drawing me
Into the magnetic power
The carousel alluring
Counting down the hour

Ticking time elapsed
As daytime turned to night
The haze of happy memories
Ended with the light
