Memories of a Majestic Tree

Where the tree dips in water, ripples propagate wavy motion,
Meandering with zealous vigor in memories of yesteryears
As eerie pause encounters skeletons of bittersweet emotions.
Emerald green leaves flutter, beset in spring’s windy signals
Recalling first kiss of a young couple, quivering in tiny ripples;
Again and again they came here, until a day said nevermore.
Its branches sway depth of water reminiscing of a youthful girl
Treasuring her secret wishes--a penny in the wind she whirled.
She now comes with grandkids, to cheer its beauty evermore.
A sigh of distress echoes there, tearing bawl of hearts broken
By shattering glass of wine-bottles in a nasty drunken break-up,
And lonesome man’s solo visits escaping his perturbed world.
Life it has cherished, death it has grieved, as time took its toll,
But seeing happy faces it enters new cycles full of green gusto;
Wider it grows to offer its shade to summers of troubled souls.
Colors it blends in romance of sights invoking vibes of autumn
Shedding its leaves, floating on dreams, in colors of meadows—
A nature’s painting preserved forever, adorning life’s museum.
