Memories and Memorial Day
Memorial Day, as I knew it, seems many centuries ago.
When sometimes those in service came back on a joyful,
surprise furlough.
Families, friends, fun,~oh how with laughter and great and
gateful glee we all got together!
And recalled those souls we had lost....
Lives disappeared , like wind blown, beautiful feathers.
So proud were we of our country!
Nobody of my day, dreamed of burning a flag.
Sadly, these days are to blame, point fingers
and nag,nag, nag!
Hot dogs and hamburgers sizzled on our grills.
The huge American flag planted proudly in front,
gave us shivers and thrills.
We learned in schools real, American and not
revisionist history!
And we prayed and bowed our heads even in
schools, for all who died so we could be forever
from tyrants, free!!
My family and I will joyfully carry this year on
this great day a most honorable tradition.
For no governor will prevent us from honoring
those in graves who died to protect forever this
God given Constitution!
We are the generation, who lost many in far
more than one war.
No, we do not bow to propagandized fear!
We will bring back full freedoms once again to
all Americans once more!
Don't buy the cheap hopelessness and hype.
Time to get all your rights back on Memorial Day,
dear patriots, as the time is more than ripe!
Recall that great song, "this land was made for
you and me."
And now, you will have to fight a new war now,
to get back your God given liberties!
