Memories

As the roses fade,
And wilt and bend.
As the leaves turn brown,
And it comes to it's end.

As the water stops,
And the creek beds dry up.
As the water evaporates,
And lets an empty cup.

As the fire goes out,
And there is no light to see.
In my heart,
Is where you will always be.

And as the dust settles,
And new life will come.
There are memories forgotten,
memories but one.

The memories of us,
They will never wilt or die.
They will remain forever,
And you are the reason why.
