Memories
I remember our dance in a sun dappled pool
way down in Columbus before I played the fool.
I remember our walks along a swift, winding stream
as we searched for the right stones, now that seems like a dream.
I remember your laughter and the smile in your eyes
as I would spread wide my jacket and wrap you inside.
I remember lazy mornings we would snuggle in bed
or play with the kitten we rescued from an old shed.
I remember sitting beside you in church on our pew
where we made it official when we both said "I do".
