Melt

Lilac skin is resting not a hair misrepresented all the flaming dreams of youth cold and miscommunicated Shades pulled on her eyelids and her mother's eyelids too A lifetime left of purpose yet she's nothing left to do She slept through birth of children grand and their great children too a legacy passed slowly down triumphant as it grew "Till one day when she finally 'woke eyes bright life with tears Her family's arms embracing her Melt away, melt away years.
