Melancholy

Those smiles bloomed, blossomed fawned
As tears now wander
Upon hearts squander
Love's grave has securely, purely, spawned

We kissed aflutter and danced in shimmer
And my hands apprised
But now glanced disguised
For the shadows glare dolour and dimmer

Well written! The words are so ornamental and they really bring out the theme of melancholy with a fragrance of beauty. Glad I discovered your list of poetry. Will be reading some more. Always, Laura

First good poem I read today on this page. Great rhytm great imagery, but the title doesn't justify the atmosphere of the poem, or perhaps that was your intent, good job anyway.
