Melancholic Life

The road I walked is mend
With emptiness and loniness
Fake words, fake friend
Everything turns to nothingness
High in the sky with hope
Pulled down to earth by reality
Hanging on a tight rope
Lies,are words of equality
Sirens sings songs of rave
Illusions, they appear coy
Wooing me closer to the grave
I am just a foolish boy
Looking for angels in this life
But demons only i find
None to protect and keep me safe
At times I wish i was blind
Speak with their fiery breadth
Light just seem to vanish
As i fall unto their wrath
Am i about to perish?
Broken but not beaten I steadfast
Learning and living i kept on
For i know this life is vast
Untill the end I shall endure on

It is not easy to share and become vulnerable by putting forth your emotions. This is a great way to do it. You will find this site has many people ready if you want assistance. Welcome, Isaac! Victoria

Welcome to poetrysoup Isaac. Wonderful to have you hear, and a great first poem. I enjoyed the flow to it, you did have a few spelling and punctuation errors, but no biggie, your words rolled right well after each other. I am looking forward to reading more of your writes.
