Meeting Memory

So happy to see your face Yet I see concern on your line I wonder if perception is playing With what belief is trying to divine How is it that easy to walk away With a look of disdain It's been years between our sorrow Shall LOVE not gain ...an adult If you would give me the time of day I would tell you of my nights Where terror tore at my flesh While I struggled to break through light If a moment is too long Will you just see in my eyes, That all I was, back then Was tethered with Deception's lies ...a child Oh, I see you, seeing .....MEMORY... She is no more All her parts accounted for At the foot of that CROSS Where He gathered all my loss ....to make ME Written by Trudy Shcrader on 09-20-2023
