Meeting Memory

So happy to see your face
Yet I see concern on your line
I wonder if perception is playing
With what belief is trying to divine

How is it that easy to walk away
With a look of disdain
It's been years between our sorrow
Shall LOVE not gain
...an adult

If you would give me the time of day
I would tell you of my nights
Where terror tore at my flesh
While I struggled to break through light

If a moment is too long
Will you just see in my eyes,
That all I was, back then
Was tethered with Deception's lies
...a child

Oh, I see you, seeing
.....MEMORY...

She is no more
All her parts accounted for
At the foot of that CROSS
Where He gathered all my loss
....to make ME
