Meeting Attendees

Meeting Attendees
They arrive at seven.
The morning early birds.
Hoping for donuts probably.
There are none.

Two slide in the back visibly late at 7:40.
This meeting ends at 7:45.
One says she overslept.
The other makes some inane excuse about going back home for her lunch.
Same two every week, same excuses.

Somebody has to make meetings more exciting...so exciting no one would want to miss them! Maybe at the beginning hand out $5 bills. No?

I would take $1.25 - it is enough for a candy bar out of the vending machine.
