Meeting a Poet In Person
Hello Josie. Thank you for meeting me at the sunflower field of cheer.
Have a slice of pumpkin pie. Your hot sweet apple cider is right here.
We’ll collaborate on a poem about bunnies, cats and hairy tooth faeries.
Visit the cow barn where giggly gingham girls take care of these dairies.
Giggling about a Prince Charming who might come into the barn.
You and I will roll our eyes, but allow them their youthful fictional yarn.
If we decide to collaborate on poetry, we might get goofy and funny.
Together our book would force Lulu to give us plenty of money.
I imagine that farting women would be a topic of interest to us.
Neither of us fancy, prim, girly, proper or attached to great fuss.
We might have so much fun we would talk steadily into the night.
If you agree to fly to Kansas, you might well miss your return flight.
