Meeting

I held you in my arms at last
discovered you were real
my heart was beating wildly
as we took time to feel.

I kissed your lips and felt my breath
catch way down deep inside.
I looked into your eyes and knew
just your smile was worth the ride.

And now we know there's something here
we never though we would feel.
To know we can once more have life
and have a life so real.
