Meet the New Year
A-im to meet the new year,
N-ever turn a blind eye;
G-reet the future with truth,
E-vade the deceiver's
L-ie.
M-eet the new year again,
A-lthough the sky is gray;
L-et the bright occasion begin,
O-nly fourteen days away.
N-ice beacon December seventeenth wipes away each tear;
G-aze at the next month to meet the new year.
