Meet Me In the Middle

You might be in the East, perhaps a wee bit north.
I am in the West, perhaps a little south.
Whether we should meet or not, our poetry goes forth!

If two folks want to “MEET,” a halfway point can be
Quite nice, but if you met        “ME,”          I’m not sure it would do;
The mid-point could be “IN” a desert or a sea!
Halfway through my time on “THE” Soup, I might meet YOU,
For that’s the only “MIDDLE” place where poet friends meet ME!

(I am not sure if I am doing this right, but there is supposed to be a three-line
introduction)

What an ingenious poem. I love the way you have constructed it with the acrostic message in the middle. This is genius. Love it!

Somewhere in the land of nod. Is where we poets don't feel odd. Where we can join in our pursuit. These crazy contests we find enroute.
