Meet Again
With each new dawn,
The tears slowly dried.
As my life went on,
The sorrow did subside.
I still see your smiling face,
Still hear your joyful laugh.
Yet I’m left with an empty space,
That cannot be filled by a photograph.
There is nothing I would not do,
Just to share with you--one more day.
To once again be able to talk with you,
For there is so much that I’d like to say.
Like—thank you for watching over me,
Every day and night I feel your essence.
I know this is the way it’s supposed to be,
Still—it would be nice to have you in the presence.
Your words of wisdom still play a part,
In building my confidence and self esteem.
I will forever hold you close in my heart,
As well as visit you in a dream.
Life is much like a lease,
Borrowing time until its complete.
Within this I am able to find peace,
For I know one day we will once again meet.
