Meekness Is Not Weakness
Meekness Is Not Weakness
“5 Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. 6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. 7 Blessed are the merciful, for they
will be shown mercy.” Matt 5:5-7 NIV
When Christ walked this earth,
His meekness and gentleness was found.
In power, He knew no weakness—
His divine power was so profound.
Though we live in this world,
We do not use the world’s weapons.
We demolish strongholds with divine power—
Dismantle demons numbered in legions.
When we surrender our all to God—
He fights our battles for us.
The enemy’s unseen,
But God’s power is more than generous.
In our meekness, we are victors;
Must rest daily in our Lord.
He won Joshua’s battle of Jericoh;
It is the Lord who deserves the applaud.
Christ was our perfect example.
By His meekness salvation was claimed.
His Father fought the battle for Him,
And His life was soon reclaimed.
Christ depended upon heaven’s power
To overcome a world of sin.
Let’s follow in His footsteps—
Heaven and eternity to win!
It takes a stronger soul
To keep silent in affliction;
Allow the Father to seek justice;
Surrender to His admonition.
The unsearchable riches of heaven
Are promised to the meek.
So with your whole heart and humility,
The Father’s power and glory seek.
