Meditation

Quiet place
Incense lit
Candles flickering, heat on my face
Time for me to find my centre
Mind and thoughts to dismember

Crossed legged hands at rest
Eyes closed, breathing deep
Trying not to go to sleep
Concentrate in and out
Silence of the loudest shout

Thoughts they come, thoughts they go
arising fast and arising slow
Will the thoughts ever stop
Flowing out with every breath
Controlling the mindly death

Core shutting down self arising
Understanding redefining
Observation noise around
Super sensitive to every sound

Body aware, legs gone numb
Feels like I’ve lost my bum
Transcend these thoughts and cast away
Back to the inner self and try and stay

Still silence in misty grey
Bright light appears to stay
Peace flows, flooding my whole
Realisation Nirvana
Beginning the end, everything told
