Mediation
I often sit and wonder as time goes by.
I think of how I have lived and how I will die.
Will I be remembered by my children as I grow old?
Did I help to create some magical words of gold?
Does beautification reflect one’s soul?
Did I appreciate the soup that was prepared for my bowl?
Should I fight the good fight or just let it be?
Are my mother and father still proud of me?
There are so many questions that now cross my mind.
What shall I seek and what will I find?
Have I been a good person, have I done all that I can?
Will I be forgiven with the rest of man?
Upon introspection I can now conclude.
I will hold my head high with the morals I’ve accrued.
With Jesus as my savior I know that I will survive.
I’ll just let him take the wheel so he can drive.
