Meant For Livin
Tribute to the most beautiful sister, mother, and friend
Denise
RIP
Like a bright and shining star
you loved the life that you were given.
Because you knew with love so true
that life was meant for livin.
Blessing every life you touched
so little would you lack.
It seemed to be at least to me
the whole world loved you back.
Through the storms in life you faced
you danced out in the rain.
You moved on, for now you're gone
and yet you still remain.
In the hearts of those you love.
The children you gave birth.
Through your friends and family
still you walk this earth.
Changed forever, blessed be
enlightened by your smile.
Still we know you had to go,
for angels stay for just awhile.
Reunited far above
with those that left before you.
Standing still we always will,
left behind those that adore you.
Learning lessons that you taught
loving life that we were given.
Because we knew your love so true
and life is meant for livin.

I am sorry for my recent absence from poetry soup. You are all always on my thoughts and in my heart. It would seem that I have been getting hammered lately by the passing of several friends and most recently my sister Denise. You have helped me through so much. I simply didn't feel that I could put this on you.
