Mean Streets

Running down this dark ugly street,
what is wrong with my feet?
Can’t seem to move fast at all,
evil closing in on me from these walls.

Should I continue or turn around?
No friendly faces in this town,
certain death awaits around the bend,
uncertain how my fate will end.

How did I end up in such a precarious position?
and find myself in this bad situation?
All I am having is bad a dream,
my peril is not as real as it seems.

Whew - bad dreams are easier to escape. A pleasant read, Timothy.
