Mean Monster

As night falls on the blue house in a small town.
A little girl looks out the window with the saddest frown.
She knows whats coming home soon, the Mean Monster
of the night.
She quickly runs to her room and hides out of sight.
Tightly holding on to her teddy bear.
The Mean Monster brought her constant fear.
He prowled on the innocence of his daughter.
Nobody could believe the Mean Monster was her father.
God answered her prays and took him away.
Never to be heard from again the Mean Monster disappeared
forever that day.

Lisa, Thank you for spreading and sharing your kindness. I am very grateful and thankful to all who have been supportive of me one way or another. Your heartfelt words are the main attraction of who you are… Thanks for your inspiring visit. ----- Happy Thanksgiving ~ LINDA

No child should have to endure this, yet sadly so many do. Eloquently expressed here. P.S. change your spelling to innocence.

Stunned and hoping that time and lots of TLC heals the little girls wounds.

Abuse of a child is one thing that all societies need to get under control.I don't know if the person who does that realizes what effect that has on that child and person that they become for the rest of their lives...Thanks for the visits to my page..Sara

Such devastation and pain caused from this kind of abuse. You've expressed it very eloquently. Congrats on your win

I'm reminded how fortunate I am to have a very loving relationship with my daughter. You take a winning attitude in not letting him win. I am touched by your sharing this with PSoupers. You will find love and understanding here... Hugs to ya.... Jake
