Meal of Death

Poisoned apple dangling before mine eyes Are you the royal feast before one dies? Is there a hangman gladly lurking by And crowds to bid another fool goodbye? Can I just take a little baby bite To quench this thirst about to douse my light? Do you expect in hunger I despise This meal of death disguised as paradise? Should I postpone the day my loved ones cry And live in woe or do I say goodbye?
