Me and You

Things have changed and so have you..
They ain't the same, the things we knew..
If in seasons could I retrograde,
Many a thing today wouldn't have fade..

When one gets locked, the other comes free..
Yet my blues had failed me to see..
They're mistakes I have to learn,
Instead, refusal wishes that they be burnt..

I'm sorry, it's you I've failed..
But naught could change the things we've veiled..
The we they know is but our mirror;
The true reflection is what that's clearer..

If things have stayed and so have you..
They'll be the same, the things they knew..
We'll walk in light; stay as dear,
And many a thing today would still be here..
