Me and the Sea

The murderous monotony of every day, drives one`s life away, one breath at a time, with the mind pushed to the very edge and off the plateau where reason prevails. Where life is sold to death on the deed of fate one urges to run. Far, far away from everything, into the rising Sun.Away from the cacophony, away from the din,Noises from outside and noises within. At the edge of destiny and at the very edge of land, One is driven to the ocean and mayhap a small beach of sand. In the wee hours of morning, when the waves curl up gently on their sides and fall asleep on the beach and a brand new sun turns the morning to gold, One hears the wind tease the palm leaves, a song, very comforting, timelessly old. Feeling the warm and intimate touch of sand between ones toes, sinking into its embrace, the mind unwinding like a generator going off load, Watching the water soaking the sands endlessly with its love and reluctantly returning to its abode.Ever unchanged ever cheerful is the song of the sea, the wind plays music the spray cools the day and the gods come out for tea. You join them in silent company as your memories hand you the drink of your life, made with the sweetness of beauty, bitters of truth, salts of success and a dash of lime, At times like these one needs a friend , and the sea is close at hand, with its secrets well kept in the company of the rocks and the sand. A good companion to think and share under the endless gaze of shamelessly blue skies, About he hurt inside and about dreams often cut to size. the night falls slow, Acres upon acres of dark canvas, hiding something precious from our sight, Only to be given away by the sharp shining points of light. Through these little leaky stitches drips onto us the truth of our being, The answer to every puzzle, the lock to every key, the subtle secret of every thing. Yet we stumble on tricked by the snares of greed lust and gain, Camouflaged the dust of ignorance, hidden to look plain. Everything calms. playful by the day, violent in the evening the wind calms to a sigh, Running to you a message from the horizon which really is the upside down earth smiling at the sky. Ever so sly sleep steals ones wakefulness, to disappear with it till sweet dreams announce the break of dawn. The night leads the moon naughtily behind her, swaying long dark hair, on bare brown curves countless stars adorn, Silent giggles echo away into the distance as another morning is born.
