Me

Laughter to lamenting
Rebellious to submitting

Carefree now controlled
Pretty eyes now swoll

Beautiful now battered
Dreams of love are shattered

Pain that can't be named
Shame that still remains

Faith has tasted fear
Memories of bitter tears

Spoken words turned silent
Love of my life turned violent

Haughty to humility
Never thought this could be
Never thought this would be...

ME
