Me

I want to a writer 
Who has lots of books full of stories and poetry 
I want people to read them 
Write me letters telling me how great they were 
I want them to plead me write more 
So they can read more of them 

I want to be a singer  
Who can sing her voice so pretty
I want people to listen 
Listen to the words that I say that aren’t meaningless 
I want them to scream for more at the end of every song 
So they can sing along with me 

I want to be a doctor 
Who can fix anybody or anything
I want people to come in my office 
Tell me what’s wrong so I can help 
I want them to say thank you 
So they can live on their lives

First of all I need to be me
The me that people would love to be with 
The one who always do the right thing 
I want to be the one that is not a second rated copy of someone else 
I’ll just start out with being me 
Work hard to only stay as me
