Reading is fundamental
That's what they tell us in school
Pushing math, learning science
Now that's what's really cool
I'm studying, face-timing, hanging out
Even playing a little ball
Getting good grades, maybe even A's
Ruler of them all
Trying to do the right thing, a leader of tomorrow
Doing the best I can
Thinking, praying, listening to my folks
As I grow up to become a man
I'm one of a kind, special, unique
Destined to better myself
Making a difference, finding my place
Understanding my worth and my wealth
