May Twenty Third Twenty Twenty
Butterflies bother the flowers for a taste
A lazy day with birdsong in the air
My meadow and gardens have not a care
Fairies and bunnies with no semblance of haste
The fern are hiding from the afternoon sun
Lamb’s ear and Queen Anne’s lace showing their shine
I sink into the yard, glad that she’s mine
Pretty monarch’s colors could pretty much stun
A variety of bees arriving now
Wasps fly out to let bees have their own room
Grasshopper hops and moths leave with a zoom
My garden and yard are a giant wow
It is May twenty-third, twenty twenty.
I give my thanks for this beautiful day
And these heavenly creatures flying my way
We have much –God and health, which is plenty.
