Notes About The Poem

These are promises made to myself for times I’ve failed to do each one of them in the manner at the various times they needed to be done. The various times they were failed, they were each collectively an accidental self inflicted bruise that turned into this list. Once there is pain behind an action, we humans tend to burn and learn.

May I Forever

MAY I FOREVER

May I always and forever be,
happy with only being me,

May I forever include loving myself,
my voice, my will, my life, my health,

May I believe with all my heart,
in the task to complete the task I start.

Forever to uphold the standard I’ve raise,
Christ the Lord, by faith I’m saved.

With nothing less than I deserve,
Forget those who’s gotten on my last nerve.
