May I Decrease

Lord, I trust in your goodness,
apart from you I have none.
Praise be to Your Name
for the good things You have done.

In my life and the
lives of others I know,
many are the wondrous
works You do show.

And it's not because of us
or how wonderful we are.
If we hold that attitude,
Your plans for us are marred.

Lord, may I stay humble
through the course of every day.
Though pride seek the crown,
may I decrease in every way.
