May Cause Drowsiness

Sleepily, quite tiredly,
Tranquilly and languidly,
Wearily yet hastily-
Bowing to his Majesty
But less concerned and further burned
In all these tales of tragedy

Chan This is very endearing to the reader because we can all relate to the message in your writing. Nice job my friend Thanks for comparing my poem Fixing Regrets to Cher's song. That is very flattering. Hugs

See, I don't think it's relatable at all. It seems all dreamy and ethereal; not concrete or solid at all. But I'm glad you found something in it with which to relate :)

Thank you so much, John. I cannot tell you how many times I've been "brow-beaten" for my style on other sites, hence the name I chose here lol. I've been told countless times how "archaic", "dated", "cliche", etc I am. I sincerely appreciate your encouragement and positive nature; I've really never found such great people elsewhere :)

Hi, I must say you managed to capture my interest right from the title. I love the way you’ve written so fluidly - your association of sleep, tranquility and tragedy brings to mind the calm and havoc life has to offer before one passes on. Well written. I’m definitely looking forward to read more of your work. Vicky.
