Matter of Time

As I lay in bed relaxing watching you dress

There is something I should say that I can’t help but stress

The time spent together has been passionate and strong

But now things have changed and something’s wrong

I can’t tell you now because I know it will wait

I’ll do it soon, you know, I’ll just pick the date

I’m not sure how to say this at which place I should start

Because all I know is regardless it will break your heart

It shouldn’t come as a surprise we both know the score

We both had our own stuff; we tried but couldn’t give more

So I guess now it’s just a matter of time

Till you go your way and I will go mine
