Material Wealth
I've no money in my pocket
not even one thin dime,
and I don't have an address
I can say is really mine.
I'm living in a mission
where the homeless come to stay.
I don't even own a suitcase
what else is there to say?
But I'm living by God's mercy
for He supplies my every need.
At one time I was a rich man
but I gave in to greed.
I lost my wife and family
then I lost my freedom, too.
When there was simply nothing left
God said,"I'll deal with you."
He sent me on a journey
like I've never had before.
And when it's finally over
I'll be welcomed at His door.
