Masterpiece Creation
Even when I do not win
I'll write a poem or two
Pick up the pen and start again
Is something all should do
The prize is not the trophy
It's in the words we write
Waking at the break of dawn
Or staying up all night
It's the thought you put into it
The research that you've done
It's comments from who's read it
And of course, if you've had fun
Input from other poets
A simple validation
You've got talent and you show it
With each masterpiece creation
