Masquerade

I walk through life
   In a trance it seems
Walking roads that somehow seem
   Only in my dreams

Challenges come my way
My mind a game to play
And now, somehow, illusions come
   To me, to me today

I can't escape this masquerade
   Inside my soul still yearns
For charms that swept me by
   On lost and distant day
