Masquerade

Dark of spirit, heavy of heart
Living in a world apart
Shadows pass before my eyes
Despair is my demise

Upon my face a mask sits well
A person I'm willing to sell
As I sink deep into my lies
Despair is my disguise

Despair controls my life
Through all my internal strife
My mask hides me well
And Death's Angel tones The Bell

Death is calling me
Through all the tears I weep
Through all my fears and woe
Death is friend not foe

Here I sit and write this down
My mask molded of a frown
Bitter tears tonight I weep
As I sink into the deep

Wow, this is very well written. The words flow well as you can feel the sad tone. I like the way it is written.
