Masks
Masks
People laugh at jokes not funny to fit in
They don't care how others feel, but ask them how they've been
They show up at functions when we don't want to go
They dislike some people, but never let it show
Life has become for many just a masquerade
They often don't like something, yet complements are paid
They hope that other people their true feelings won't detect
It is more important to be politically correct
Why is it so hard for some to face up to the task
Of addressing things with honesty, step from behind the mask
