Mask

This mask of mine I share with you
it hides all that I've been through

the grins and giggles I put on
hiding confusion, dusk till dawn

the eyes of my mask speak
for the part of me that's so weak

behind those eyes, a story lies
of the days I sit and cry

others when I laugh and dance
once given love a guiding chance

only to be left cold and in pain
a mind inside all but sane

fear of the future
regret in the past
I hide it all behind these eyes
the eyes of my mask.
