“MARRY ME” JITTERS One thought prevails throughout David’s day He racks his brain as to how he will say, This important piece of news which repeats in His mind like a rhyme, He knows he must get it right, he is running, Out of time! David was a typical nerd, and was on a quest, To find Words that were passionate, daring yet gentle, And kind, He hoped they would not come out as ridiculous Or sublime, For the line between the two was extremely Fine! David suddenly had an incredible surge, and with It ,a revelation, That could satisfy his constant quest for his Wedding speech, this really was a wow stimulation, Thank goodness, for he was beginning to believe, His brain was going into hibernation! As the heart and the brain are one, The heart realized, That David needed help, and jumped To his aid and pumped, Blood to his brain which surged at not one, But two and half times more than it should! David was on a high anyone would. With adrenaline pumping, And his heart and brain thumping, He thought of a perfect speech And let out a heartfelt screech! His heart had given his brain a much Needed energy drink, Which allowed David to discover new Dimensions within which he could think. At this moment he was so hyped up, he needed To not stress for a while, And be spaced out for an hour or two, in an Alice in Wonderland style. But for this to happen he was given a Half a Valium dose, By late afternoon, David would be Prepared to propose, He woke up chilled out, And so ready to sprout To the life- long love of his life, Alice, Who was pretty, gregarious and small. As they stood on the bottom stair, Of the Reception Hall, They looked quite a special pair, For David in contrast was plump, not handsome And not tall. David presented a perfect speech that night, He was married to Alice his darling wife, And everything turned out absolutely right!
