Marriage a Lifetime Project

Love is kind and suffers long, love is meek and
Think no wrong. Love despite the way you feel
Damaged wounds take time to heal.

Marriage is a lifetime effort, for those who are
Bond that way. A union of two becoming one
Can be a good thing, and is here to stay.

Think of a project in the natural, good times
Bad times, the highs and lows. It is all part, and
Parcel, no matter which way it goes.

Hard work, perseverance, is the key. Patience
Good communication the aim. We are all different
And that’s a good thing. One has what the other need
Love covers a multitude of sin.

What you have described here, is a real marrige...one that takes work, suffers through good times and bad times, yet makes a true commitment. So many jump in without making a lasting commitment to be patient and work at it! Well said in your poem. ~ Carrie
