Many Miles Away

I have a friend that is special to me who lives many miles away We both wonder how the other is doing almost each and every day I can imagine the smile that is on her face every time I hear her laugh I can only hope that the laughter I hear was made on my behalf I love the times that she talks to me about her family and her friends There are days we talk about anything and, I hope it never ends So, when I'm happy or when I'm sad and, I don't know what to say I just call and talk to my special friend who lives many miles away

The internet can be a blessing when it comes to friendships because it allows us to keep in touch with them. But, it can also be a curse when we make new friends online that we may never meet in person... Still, just having that one friend to talk to is a wonderful thing no matter how far away they might be!... Keep up the great work Roger. Your poetry is always so well written and nice to read my friend!

Hello my friend Linda, I am doing very good right now. But my mother is loosing her battle with cancer. She has very few days of life left. We have all been spending as much time as we can with her. I still miss you from Many Miles Away........Hugs....Luv.....Roger

There is something so valuable about a friend, .....regardless of distance, one can always know if that special bond exists. I enjoyed this very much. (And so I also must say, how grateful I am for friends here.....and thank you very much for my placement in the "Many Miles" contest! a pleasure!
