Man's Actions

From the time he could speak
To the days that Jesus did preach
Man has always struggled to reach
For more.
More strength, more power
Racing to devour

From straw and stones
beneath the bones.
To the steel mines that groan.
Brought forth to us
the glass structures we own.

For it’s consumption we crave, to strive and need;
has reflected in our greed,
and the killing fields in our neighbor’s lands
The blood that stains our broken hands
So build we must, the weapons that kill
To our pockets they shall fill

Profit in the wrath of an existence
exploded with sheer persistence.
To this modern life we know
Plant your tarnished seed so they may grow

Will we have any morality or spirituality-
left to teach our youth ?
Is there justice in the system without truth?
Changing our plant life
Testing the limits
Hurting the animals, causing them strife
So we clear the land that may someday burn;
from the rise in earth,
that was once a virgin birth

Thus we still
battle over race, religion and land
We may lose this fight
All
Because of the determination of man
