Manifesto

Healthcare and medical attention are an essential human right,
in modern societies this basic need should not be out of sight.
Every individual of any status should get proper medical care,
for which the medical systems and practices need to be fair.

Ethics entitles everybody access to treatment and technology new,
progress in medical science should help all, not a fortunate few.
Healthcare system must serve patients, not those in this profession,
sympathetic personalized care should not be an exception.

Better transparency and concern should be for patients’ benefit,
the system should work for patients’ welfare, not for profit.
It’s time to recognize the medical predicament many face ruefully,
address the systemic issues and collective challenges globally.

Kim Rodrigues January 3, 2025 at 12:10 PM If people work a legitimate job or need help and yes it should be fair. An example with people that do daycare in their home or small businesses (should have the same right to a fair benefit). People that only get entitlements and do nothing…no except basic care. This is just a generalization of thought not all encompassing. Of course there are times that hit us hard. Great poem…thoughtful.
