MAN OF STEEL WON'T STEAL
???MAN OF STEEL WON'T STEAL???
A humble home where poverty runs deep,
A poor man rises with tears, robbed of sleep,
His heart is heavy, burdened, and sore,
Fighting battles right from life’s cruel door.
"Dad, they have chased me from school for fees,
Pay my school fees before tomorrow please",
Daughter whispers, voice frail and strained,
Her voice, a broken chain, heart emotions, stained.
Man of steel, fatherly task, herculean like a hill
And incapacitated by life's bitter pill.
His wife’s voice trembles, a desperate plea:
"What's for lunch today? We don't even have ordinary tea."
Son’s small voice, torn and longing, sighs,
"My shoe is ripped, because I walked long miles,"
And the baby boy’s soft, hunger-induced cry,
Pierces the silence as a mournful lullaby.
Landlord’s cold demand, vexed and stern —
"Unfailingly pay me your rent before I return,"
And now comes the second son’s innocent plea,
"I need a new book, Dad, can’t you see?"
Amidst the chaos, the headaches, the pain,
A newborn’s cry, heavy like a pouring rain,
In the depths of despair, hopes grow thin —
A poor man’s battle with fate and past sin.
A life of struggle, hope’s faint glow,
In every cry, despair does show,
Yet within these depths of sorrow’s abyss,
Lingers a silent, aching wish, hope for bliss —
For love, for mercy, for at least a little grace,
In this hard, unyielding place & for what he'll face.
Despite his troubles, this man of steel won't steal
But with hope, he promised to ascend life's hill.
