Man Looking Up

Man looking up
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Inside I cry, this man,
A child eternal
I pray to the Supreme,
Though not for miracles or blessing
I do so because no one else listens, or cares
My spirit and flesh has strength in abundance
Yet none at all for me
Denied love as a child,
While caring fiercely as an adult
Questioning the times when I care not
If I live or die
And seeking to undo the awful damage
Done against my soul
In my prayers I ask God only
That he be well
